Casual Photography
About the Artist
Photography began for me as a young teen working in the home darkroom shared with my father. This is where I learned the basics of photography. In high school, I was honored with the Photographer of the Year award. I worked at a local camera shop in Freeland, Pennsylvania; it was there I got involved in studio photography.
After high school, I graduated from Wilkes College and earned a B.S. degree in Commerce and Finance. This was followed by an active tour of duty serving four years in the United States Navy as a Supply Corps officer followed by 27 more years in the Naval Reserve. During that time, I had the opportunity to photograph many locations including Cuba and a variety of Mediterranean countries. I worked for the United States Department of the Navy in Mechanicsburg, Pa and retired in 2003.
My interest in photography has remained constant throughout my life and following a natural progression I became a freelance, on-location wedding and special events photographer.
The learning continues...
